Non è tempo d'aspettare

The art of italian frottole at the beginning of Renaissance

The repertoire of frottole owns a both familiar and natural charm. They were originally conceived in 4 parts and yet transformed into various interpretations: our own, is made for 3 female voices accompanied by viola d’arco and gothic harp. It could be possible due to the great mastery and the skill of writing of the compositions.

Alla francesca / Women trio
Vivabiancaluna Biffi / voice, viola d'arco, conception
Hélène Decarpignies / voice
Brigitte Lesne
 / voice, gothic harp, tambourines

Composers from the time of Marchetto Cara (1470-1525) could be true painter of feelings. Marchetto himself could draw and magnify emotions a constantly different way in his work. Non è tempo d’aspettare – this is not time to wait... – reflects this diversity. It is also the title of one of the Master’s song, drawing the thread of love through the concert.

The programme is divided in four parts, based of different moods of love:

In dolce focho (the sweet fire of love…)

I ciechi amanti (the blind lovers…)

L’abandonato Core (the abandoned heart…)

Il lieto cantare (the joyful singing…)
